Gone Fishin’
Game 6 Notes
After a season of overachieving and proving doubters wrong, in the end the Nuggets folded like a cheap suit causing some Nuggets fans to start the chant “We Want A Refund”. From the opening tip, you could tell this was going to be a hard game to watch, with Chauncey picking up a phantom foul in the first 30 seconds. The Nuggets just couldn’t deal with adversity in the playoffs. They are great frontrunners that can get out to the early lead and never look back. They showed this in the first two series against Dallas and New Orleans, blowing [...]
Nuggets just flat out stunk. The decision to double team killed the them. Analysis tomorrow.
Happy Birthday Melo!
It’s Carmelo Anthony’s Birthday today. Hopefully he’ll be celebrating more than his 25th birthday tonight. He’s never won an NBA game on his birthday, mostly due to the fact that he’s never played this late into a season. Game starts at 7pm MDT.
Which Kobe will be at game 6?
The Black Mamba and Decoy Kobe.
The Mamba has a killer instinct and has accomplished such feats as, dropping 81 on a defenseless Raptors team, scoring 40+ points in nine consecutive games, and has 25 total 50 point games in all. The Mamba is usually seen in elimination playoff games or when he feels his teammates don’t deserve to be on the same court as him (see 2005). This Kobe will shoot upwards of 30 shots per game and can win a ball game all by himself. The Black Mamba can usually be seen yelling at his teammates with the [...]
1st Half –
Chauncey came out firing, putting up a 3, knowing he needs to get started early in this game, rather than getting his teammates invoved first as he had done in previous games.
Dahntay Jones must have been fired up after getting the most attention in his life after the past game. He took the ball to the rim every time he got the ball, getting fouled most of the time. If only he could make his free throws or breakaway layups.
On the other side of the ball, Fisher finally decided he wanted to play in this series, after [...]
The crew for tonight’s game in Los Angeles will be Monty McCutchen, Ron Garretson, and Tom Washington. I’m not going to go into any detail about whether these refs are good or bad but how they ref the game. So far in these playoffs the home team has an 80% winning percentage when Monty McCutchen is reffing, by far the highest in the league.
This doesn’t bode well for the Denver Nuggets coming into the Staples Center looking to take a 3-2 lead in the series. Despite the high winning percentage, his crew keeps the fouls evenly distributed for [...]
