Anthony Carter signed earlier this week for the veteran minimum, about 1.3 million. After trying to get a multi-year deal from the Nuggets, he realized that Denver is the only team in the league that even wants him and the fact that he gets 20 minutes a game is a miracle. Their only tough game will come on Friday the 13th against the Lakers at home. Hopefully the Nuggets can beat up on far inferior teams and gain some confidence going into their Western Conference games.
The Nuggets have finally earned some respect for the league, getting 29 nationally televised games this year, including the nightcap on Christmas day. I’m sure the Nuggets are thrilled to be playing in Portland on Christmas day as well.
