It didn’t take long for Al Harrington get the injury bug in Denver. Seven minutes into his first action for the Denver Nuggets and the veteran forward had to leave due to a plantar fasciitis. The injury will keep Harrington away for at least two weeks to rest his knees. However, he should be ready for the Nuggets season opener against Utah.

Denver also cut Courtney Sims and Shane Edwards on Tuesday. The two seemed to be ideal candidates to make the team, especially after Sims strong showing in the D-League last season and Edwards hustle at Summer League. But the two couldn’t beat out rookie Eric Boateng and former Massachusetts star Gary Forbes.

The Nuggets are back in action Tuesday at Minnesota.
