The Denver Nuggets are shooting for their fifth consecutive win, and snap their three-game losing streak to the Milwaukee Bucks.
Surprisingly none of the Nuggets have ever played for the Bucks, while the only former Nugget playing for Milwaukee is little Earl Boykins.
While the Bucks have struggled to start the season and are off to a dismal 6-11 record, they still are dangerous. Second-year point guard Brandon Jennings has built off of his first season, raising his scoring by nearly three points, he also gave Denver trouble in the first team between the two squads as he lit up the Nuggets for 32 points in Milwaukee.
Andrew Bogut also was a handful for the Nuggets, dominating Nene in the post and going for 23 points and 10 rebounds.
Another player that may bring a matchup problem for the Nuggets is the Bucks power forward Ersan Ilyasova, who is filling in for the injured Drew Gooden. Ilyasova has started the last two games and has averaged 17.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3 assists. He also has hit 5 of 10 treys.
There still is no guarantee that Carmelo Anthony will play as he battles with a case of the flu, but if JR Smith can play as well as he did on Monday (30 points) it wouldn’t matter. However, JR isn’t known for his consistency.
