Before the Denver Nuggets pulled off their sixth victory in a row, reports came out that coach George Karl and the Nuggets were working on an extension.
Karl told the Denver Post he is a three-year guy and so it is hard to see Karl lasting longer than that. While the extension is a big step for both the Nuggets and Karl, it is definitely an interesting move considering the lack of stability going on within the Nuggets organization.
While the move might be a big step in retaining the services of star Carmelo Anthony, but it still remains a long shot that Anthony will sign the $65 million extension with the Nuggets.
And if Anthony leaves, it will leave Karl and the Nuggets a squad they must rebuild without the face of their franchise the previous seven seasons.
