‘Charge’ could possibility be the most critical word in Nuggets history, but right or wrong that was the call Thursday night and the end result was the Nuggets lose by one and Denver lost just its second game in 13 contests.

Right before time ran out and Carmelo Anthony’s shot sailed through the basket a charge was called on Anthony as Manu Ginobili drew it. Fans can complain and say it was a bad call, but Ginboili was rewarded in what looked to be the right call and the whistle of former NBA player Haywood Workman sealed the Nuggets fate Thursday night.

It ruined another stellar night from Anthony, who had 31 points and nine rebounds, he was one of six Nuggets who scored in double figures (Arron Afflalo 20, Nene 19, Ty Lawson 15 and JR Smith and Al Harrington with 12).

However, arguably the play of the night and could possibly be a top 5 dunk (if not the best dunk) this season was JR Smith’s dunk to finish the first quarter. Just WATCH
