Lawson breaks NBA record

Not sure what it is about third quarters versus the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Pepsi Center, but another record was broken by the Denver Nuggets against the Timberwolves.

Just two years ago, Carmelo Anthony broke the record for points in a quarter with 33 points against the Timberwolves.

And Ty Lawson, the new face of the franchise wasn’t to be outdone by the former Nuggets superstar. The starting point guard was red-hot Saturday against the Timberwolves and set the record for 3-pointers made in a row with 10.

Lawson hit seven treys in the third quarter and was on the verge of getting a triple-double going into the fourth quarter with 37 points, seven rebounds and six assists.
