Few coaches have been through what Denver Nuggets coach George Karl went through during the 2010-11 season and Karl was recognized for his efforts after placing fourth in the Coach Of The Year voting.

The season started with his franchise player Carmelo Anthony requesting a trade to New York behind closed doors. And despite Anthony denying the rumor it obviously affected how the Nuggets played up until he was traded to the Knicks in February.

With added depth and a rejuvenated team Karl led the Nuggets to 18-7 record to finish the season.
