As he told Vic Lombardi last week, Denver Nuggets coach George Karl reiterated his belief that Nene will stay in Denver during his talk with with Denver Post’s Benjamin Hochman.

Karl told Hochman that the Nuggets could persuade Nene in resigning and said

"I have no problem with Nene expressing his opinions on his position. I think me and the organization very much want him here. I think with the situation of this year, maybe he felt like he needed more contact (about the contract). (But) from what I know with my relationship with Nene and his love for Denver, I just think things are going to get worked out, I really do."

Hochman also hinted that the Nuggets starting power forward Kenyon Martin may move on and be replaced by backup center Timofey Mozgov.
