Heat to pursue Nene

According to reports from Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson, the Miami Heat are going to bid for Nene’s services as soon as the lockout is lifted. However, Jackson believe’s that is as far the talks will go.

"It’s difficult to see Nene accepting a mid-level exception from Miami if there is a $6 million one in the new labor deal, but he told us previously that Miami is appealing to him. And he told The Denver Post: “If people think it’s about money, they’re wrong. I’ve saved my money. I could retire today.”"

Miami would be a good fit for Nene, who rarely demands the ball and is as consistent of scorer there is in the league. And also this is where Nene has a chance to back up what he said earlier and say it isn’t about money. There still remains a lot of questions with Nene and the Denver Nuggets and there won’t be a lot of answers until the lockout is lifted.
