The Denver Nuggets free agent big man Nene turned 29 on Sept. 13.
Nene is on the verge of being the most sought after free agent when the NBA Lockout (whenever that is).
The ninth year center/power forward is coming off of a season in which he averaged 14.5 points and 7.6 rebounds. He was also arguably the best player on the Nuggets roster after the Carmelo Anthony trade.
Now the question is do the Nuggets overpay to keep their longest tenured player? And if so, will help the team improve in the long term. If the Nuggets don’t keep the Brazilian star, can they get a similar or better big man. Questions that won’t be answered until after the lockout is lifted.
