NBA May Not Play 82-game Season

Monday was usually the opening day for the teams training camps. However, instead players and owners are in a showdown in New York as both sides seem far apart from a new CBA deal to lift the NBA Lockout.

And with time against them, Marc Stein recently said via Twitter that if a deal isn’t reached by Wednesday night the NBA can’t play an 82-game schedule.

"Only deal by Wednesday-ish saves full 82-game sked. But sides still engaged so there ARE NBA insiders out there saying it’s still possible"

He followed up by saying,

"That, though, is the minority view. More people than not find the gap too wide to be narrowed in 72 hours as slowly as things are moving"

The NBA has already canceled 43 preseason games, including the Denver Nuggets two preseason contests versus the Houston Rockets in Houston.

D-Day is

slowly

quickly approaching and both sides are at a stalemate. Things are looking gloomy for the NBA and its fans.
