Nuggets To Have 7 More Games Canceled

According to the New York Daily Press, the NBA will cancel two more weeks of the season. The report said the cancellation will be announced Tuesday.

If announced more than 100 more games would be canceled, including seven Denver Nuggets games.

One of the games that is in jeopardy of being canceled is Carmelo Anthony’s return to Denver on Nov. 16. Other games are:

  • Denver at Oklahoma City, Nov. 18
  • Washington at Denver, Nov. 19
  • Denver at Los Angeles Clippers, Nov. 21
  • Chicago at Denver, Nov. 22
  • Dallas at Denver, Nov. 25
  • New Orleans at Denver, Nov. 27

It would mean the Nuggets would have 12 of their 82 games canceled, as well as all of their preseason games.

Talks between the players and the owners have been at a stalemate of late as they try and work out a way to split the NBA’s revenue. The owners told the players they would have to agree on a 50-50 split before they can discuss a new salary cap system.
