Arron Afflalo a hot commodity

Denver Nuggets top two free agents are also among top choices among other teams as well.

Seven teams contacted Nene on Wednesday and according to ESPN’s Marc Stein, Denver’s other free agent Arron Afflalo is among the top of many teams lists – including the Los Angeles Lakers and Chicago Bulls.

Stein tweeted,

"Heard it from handful of GMs over past 2 days: FA w/most suitors after top bigs (Nene/Chandler/MGasol) is DEN restricted FA Arron Afflalo"

He followed that up by saying,

"Bulls and Lakers lust after Afflalo, I’m told, but it’ll take a cap-room team to assemble an offer good enough to get him out of Denver"

While Afflalo will more than likely return to Denver, it is mildly concerning that other teams have interest in the restricted free agent – which means that the Nuggets will have to overpay or match any major offer for Afflalo.

RAPTORS JOIN IN ON THE HUNT FOR NENE

Add the Toronto Raptors to the long list of suitors for Nene.

According to ESPN, Toronto Raptors is trying to be aggressive in its pursuit for a big man and have joined in the hunt for Nene, Dallas Mavericks big man Tyson Chandler and Memphis Grizzlies restricted free agent Marc Gasol.

Ken Berger reports that in order for the Nuggets to get assets back, Nene would most likely have to sign with a capped out team like the Miami Heat or Mavericks.

New Jersey Nets are high on Nene, and come midnight Dec. 9 numerous teams will come calling for Nene’s services.
