Gallinari To Miss A Month

In just one week the Denver Nuggets went from being the hottest team in the NBA to the walking wounded.

The Nuggets played nearly all of the second half without four starters (Nene, Arron Afflalo, Timofey Mozgov and Danilo Gallinari) and they were also without reserve Corey Brewer.

Gallinari, who was arguably the Nuggets best player and top scorer, is reportedly out for nearly a month. It also sounds like Mozgov and Brewer won’t be available tonight and maybe for Thursday’s game as well.

With Gallinari out, it sounds like Afflalo will move to small forward and there is a chance that George Karl may go with Julyan Stone again to start the game and keep his rotation in tact. There also could be a chance he gives Jordan Hamilton some minutes, especially with how bad the Nuggets shot from behind the arc on Monday.

Karl did go with Kenneth Faried in the starting lineup on Monday and the rookie responded by going for six points and eight rebounds.
