At Least Lawson Is Returning

There was hope that the All-Star Break would cure, or at least help, the ailing Denver Nuggets squad. However, no such luck.

Ty Lawson will be the only player returning for the Nuggets tonight when they host Portland, while Danilo Gallinari, Rudy Fernandez and Nene will once again miss another game. It will be the 10th straight missed for Gallinari, ninth for Nene and the fourth miss for Fernandez.

Gallinari severely sprained his ankle at the beginning of February and is shooting to return on March 5 when the Nuggets host the Sacramento Kings Рwhich is also the first of an eight-game home stand for the Nuggets.

Nene has dealt with a nagging calf injury, which will bother him for the rest of the season and Fernandez has a lower back injury.

Wednesday night is a big game for the Nuggets, who are currently one game above .500 and will play two tough road games this weekend. They are at Houston on Friday and at San Antonio on Sunday.
