The Denver Nuggets are out and running during the second half of the season and it has been Kenneth Faried and Ty Lawson leading the way for the upstart Nuggets as they beat the Houston Rockets on the road.
Lawson was once again playing at an All-Star level, coming three rebounds short of a triple-double. He also scored a game-high 22 points and had a career-best 15 assists.
Faried once again had a double-double for the Nuggets, posting 16 points and 11 rebounds and coming up with a key block in the fourth.
- Arron Afflalo‘s shot is returning to form, scoring 16 of his 17 points in the second half and making 7 of 14 from the field and hitting two treys.
- Kosta Koufos was once again solid coming off the bench, hitting all five of his shots and grabbing seven rebounds. He is due for more minutes now that Timofey Mozgov may miss some time due to an ankle injury.
With the win, the Nuggets are one game behind both the Rockets and Dallas Mavericks, they are also a game and 1/2 behind the Memphis Grizzlies.
