Lawson Wins Western Conference Player Of The Week
Denver Nuggets point guard Ty Lawson was chosen as the Western Conference Player of the Week after helping the Nuggets start the second half of the season 3-0.
During the winning streak, Lawson has averaged a double-double, tallying 20.7 points and 11.7 assists per game. He also registered 7.0 rebounds per contest and was a rebound short of a triple-double in Sunday’s win against the San Antonio Spurs and was three rebounds short of a triple-double in Saturday’s victory over the Houston Rockets.
Lawson is averaging career highs in points (15.9), and assists (6.6) this season.
Chicago Bulls’ point guard Derrick Rose was the Eastern Conference Player of the Week.
