Chandler Gives The Nuggets A Deadline

According to Hoopsworld’s Alex Kennedy, Wilson Chandler’s agent has given the Denver Nuggets until Friday to get a deal or else Chandler will sit out the 2011-12 season.

The Nuggets want to sign Chandler to a long-term deal, but Chandler wants to sign a 1-year deal. He can’t be traded because the new CBA now outlaws midseason sign-and-trades.

Denver will not offer Chandler a one-year deal because that would make him an unrestricted free agent. Chandler came to Denver in the Carmelo Anthony trade and averaged 12.5 points and five rebounds in 21 games with the Nuggets.
