Nuggets Notes: Hamilton Putting In Work

Jordan Hamilton only saw the floor in 26 games during his rookie year with the Denver Nuggets, but that hasn’t deterred Hamilton from staying around Denver for the off-season.

Denver Nuggets’ reporter Aaron Lopez reported that Hamilton has returned to the Pepsi Center, where he is putting in rigorous work with assistant coaches John Welch and Patrick Mutombo.

It will be interesting to see what kind of playing time Hamilton will get next season. With Danilo Gallinari, Corey Brewer and Wilson Chandler all listed as small forward, Hamilton may be better finding time behind Arron Afflalo at shooting guard especially with Rudy Fernandez being a restricted free agent. Hamilton has a great stroke, good ball-handling skills and showed good basketball IQ in his limited time as a rookie. No doubt he has a high upside and should be an exciting part of Nuggets core for the next few years.

Hamilton will join Kenneth Faried and Julyan Stone at the Las Vegas Summer League at the end of July.
