Nuggets Closing On A Deal With JaVale McGee?

According to Ken Berger, negotiations between JaVale McGee and the Denver Nuggets are going good.

Berger tweeted on Fourth of July (seriously guy, take a day off will ya?):

"Negotiations are going well between the Nuggets and RFA JaVale McGee, who has expressed a desire to stay in Denver, sources say."

Of course nobody knows exactly what that means or how much Denver will off the 7-foot center. However, last season the L.A. Clippers matched an offer sheet to DeAndre Jordan for $43 million for four years and the Portland Trailblazers signed All-Star center Roy Hibbert to a max deal earlier this week. McGee’s contract should be similar to what those two big man’s contracts were.
