While the Denver Nuggets continue to hammer out a deal with JaVale McGee, they are also trying to lock up Ty Lawson as well this summer.

Lawson, who is going into his fourth season, told Denver Post’s Chris Dempsey that a deal will definitely get done within the next few months.

In his first full season as the Nuggets’ starting point guard, Lawson set a career high all across the board and averaged 19 points and 6 assists in the playoffs against the Lakers.

Dempsey said the extension could be in the range of $65 million for five years.
