Nuggets take part in Mile High Dreams Gala on off day

After an exhilarating overtime victory against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday night, Denver Nuggets coach George Karl gave his men the day off on Monday. While the Nuggets returned to practice on Tuesday, they spent their day off fine tuning their off-court skills.

Members of the Nuggets, along with the Colorado Avalanche, Colorado Rapids and Colorado Mammoth hosted the 2013 edition of the Mile High Dream Gala. At the gala, the fans a chance to mix and mingle with the players, coaches, alumni, dancers and mascots of the respective organization.

Throughout the night, the athletes enjoyed food, music, casino games and drinks from the best establishments in the Pepsi Center club level. While this was a great experience for the fans that could purchase tickets for $150, it’s those who benefit from the proceeds that matter the most.

The Kroenke Sports Charities helps out kids and those underprivileged in the Denver area. With the help and support of the local teams and fans, Kroenke Sports was expected to raise upward of $100,000 last night.

Those in attendance included Karl, Danilo Gallinari, Andre Iguodala, Kenneth Faried, Ty Lawson, Andre Miller, Kosta Koufos, Javale McGee, Evan Fournier and Corey Brewer.
