Brewers debut in film called “worst film ever”
A couple weeks ago, we had an exclusive interview with the Denver Nuggets Corey Brewer as his debut film ‘Movie 43’ was set to debut in theaters. The movie features a star-studded cast, but unfortunately, that didn’t save the movie at the box office.
Brewer, who appears with NBA players Larry Sanders and Jarred Dudley in the movie, is represented by Relativity Sports. Unlike other athletes turned actors, Brewers movie bombed in its opening weekend. The movie pulled in just $4.8 million which was good for No. 7 in the United States.

The movie which was called “the worst film ever” by Peter Howell of The Toronto Star and also “the biggest waste of talent in cinema history,” cost $6 million to make. The films director, Peter Farrelly, told critics to “calm down” and it was a movie that gave audiences “something different.”
The film which also features the likes of Halle Berry, Richard Gere, Hugh Jackman, Emma Stone, Gerard Butler, Kate Winslet, Naomi Watts, Uma Thurman and many more, received a putrid 4% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Brewer, who said he wouldn’t mind stepping into acting after he retires, may need to seek out a different film his second time around.
Brewer is one of six Nuggets averaging in double figures for the Nuggets this season with 11.3 points per game off the bench.
