Nuggets to possibly trade 27th pick

The Denver Nuggets could be looking to trade their first round pick away. The team is content with their young players and could move back to the second round in Thursdays NBA draft according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

Denver’s pick at 27 is available, teams tell Y! Nuggets open to future 1st, or moving back into 30′s. Nuggets like their young roster core.

In preparation for the draft the Nuggets have hosted many players including NCAA leading scorer Erik Green, Colorado State’s Colton Iverson, Tony Mitchell, Nate Wolters, Reggie Bullock, Ricky Ledo, and Jeff Withey. They either haven’t found anyone the felt could contribute to the roster or feel the player they want will be available in the second. Second round picks do not receive guaranteed contracts which could be why the Nuggets would prefer to trade their first round pick. The money saved could be used to bring back Andre Iguodala and Corey Brewer.

This should be one the many rumors we hear before Thursday’s draft and anything can happen. Stay tuned to NuggLove for more updates and coverage of who your Denver Nuggets draft
