Nuggets Defeat Wizards 75-74

On Monday, the Denver Nuggets defeated the Washington Wizards by a score of 75-74. In doing so, the Nuggets improved their record to 13-8. There wasn’t a lot of scoring in the game for either team, but Wilson Chandler led the way for Denver with 17 points and 8 rebounds. The rest of the starters were only able to post a combined 24 points.
As for the Wizards, their scoring came from all of their starters. Point-guard John Wall continued his huge season with 20 points and 8 assists. Marcin Gortat followed with 16 points and 8 rebounds. The bench for the Wizards only scored 5 points which was a major factor in the game. The game changer for Denver in this one was Nate Robinson who came off the bench to score 16 points. He has been a tremendous assest to the team so far this season, and is looking like a great signing.
It wasn’t pretty, but the Nuggets got the W. They are beginning to move up the power rankings and are playing great team basketball of late. The Nuggets finished their road trip with a 4-2 record and are preparing for the Utah Jazz at home on Friday. Check back for a game preview, and game feed.
