The Denver Nuggets fell to the Oklahoma City Thunder at home tonight by a score of 105-93. The Thunder controlled the game all night long, and never really gave the Nuggs a chance to get ahead. The Thunder got big performances from their star players, while the Nuggets had solid contributions from most of the team. Nuggets fans knew tonight was going to be a tough game, and we found out just how hot the Thunder truly are.

Kevin Durant was himself tonight as he dropped in 30 points to go along with 6 boards. A big night was expected from him, and the Nuggets failed to contain him. Also having a big game for the Thunder was point-guard Russel Westbrook. Westbrook flirted with a triple double by posting 20 points, 13 rebounds, and 8 assists. Durant and Westbrook have been a tough duo to shut down for all teams this year, and they clearly had their way with the Nuggets tonight.

Ty Lawson scored 17 points and had 13 assists in tonights game. It is safe to say is hammy is good to go, and that he is moving at a regular pace on the court. He matched up with Westbrook pretty well, but allowed him to have a big game. J.J. Hickson has been playing great lately for the Nuggets and he continued that trend against the Thunder. Hickson had a double-double as he scored 20 points and had 14 rebounds. His solid play has been meaningful for the Nuggs, and he has proved to be a player that the team can count on.

As I explained last night, this upcoming week is going to be difficult for the Nuggets. Tonights loss hurts, but the Nuggs can make up for it with wins against the Suns and Clippers. It will be interesting to see how the team will respond to the loss Friday in Phoenix. Look for the Nuggets to bounce back and prove that they are indeed one of the top teams in the Western Conference.
