Nuggets Vs. Celtics Game-Preview

The Denver Nuggets will take on the Boston Celtics tonight. The Nuggets have now won two games straight, and it appears the reason may be his new rotation. Shaw has mixed things up a bit and it is helping. Sure, the Nuggets beat two lowly teams, but they were losing to teams worse than them during their losing streak. The 13-21 Celtic come to a Denver with a 4 game losing streak, and another Nuggets win should be expected.

The Nuggets bench is the key to winning games. Now that Brian Shaw has found a rotation that seems to be working, fans can expect consistent bench play. The starting line-up is not filled with all-stars and this makes the bench so much more important. In my opinion, when the Nuggets bench comes to play, they are one of the deepest in the NBA. They are led by Nate Robinson and Timofey Mosgov, and both will only see their minutes increase with their terrific play lately.

Players needing to step up for Denver are J.J. Hickson, Randy Foye, and Kenneth Faried. All of been solid this season, but need to play better. If the Nuggets could get better games from these three, they would be scoring in the 100’s every night. Ty Lawson could very well be on his way to his first all-star appearance. The point-guard will need to continue to lead the Nuggets and he should have no issues with receiving votes.

As for the Celtics, they are a much different looking team than we are used to seeing. There is no longer the “big 3″ and Rajon Rondo is still recovering from a torn ACL. The Celtics are young, and inexperienced. They are led by Jeff Green who is averaging 15 points per game. The Celtics are the type of team that are playing freely at this point in the season, which means that they can really give any team a run.

The game is at home where Denver has struggled a bit this season, but I see the Nuggets coming away with another victory. Things are clicking right now, and the Celtics are struggling. My final score prediction is a 120-105 Nuggets win. Ty Lawson and the Nuggets bench will play big at home and take care of business. Be sure to follow along for updates on twitter.
