Nuggets Vs. Warriors Preview

The Nuggets will be taking on the Golden State Warriors tonight on the road. This is the first game that the Nuggets will be playing since their meltdown against the Utah Jazz. The Warriors are young, fast, and red-hot. They have won 9 of their last 10 games. Like the Nuggets, the Warriors love to put points up on the board. This is going to be a tough-rebound game for the Nuggets, and it will be hard for them to get the win.

The Nuggets simply couldn’t handle the Jazz. The Jazz controlled the game mostly all night, and it was surprising. Player that will need to be big in this game are Ty Lawson, and Wilson Chandler. Lawson must lead the team as he has this season, and cannot afford to have a meltdown. Chandler is going to need to get back into the groove asap. He returned off the bench Monday, but wasn’t effective.

The bench and Evan Fournier have been huge of late for the Nuggets. This is a trend that will need to continue, and see that being very possible. Also, Randy Foye has been consistent for the Nuggs, and they will need his 3 point shooting tonight. If he can provide some more scoring, I see this game being a lot closer than some may think.

The Warriors are dangerous. The Warriors are no secret to the NBA, and they are becoming one of the best teams. The scary part is how young they are. They are led by Steph Curry, and Klay Thompson. Both players score the ball pretty much whenever they want and referred to as the “splash brothers.” Defending them from the perimeter has to be the first priority tonight. In other Warriors news, today they acquired Jordan Crawford and Marshon Brooks from the Boston Celtics.

Unfortunately, the Warriors are going to be really hard to beat, especially at home. The Nuggets need a win to get the bad taste of a poor loss out of their mouths, and I just think they are too inconstant to be the Warriors. The Warriors will most likely get the job done and my final score prediction is 121-115 Warriors. Be sure to check in for game updates.
