Nuggets Bounce Back In Big Way

The Denver Nuggets bounced back in a big way last night, as they defeated the Golden State Warriors by a score of  123-116. The win is a huge confidence builder for the team, and it now makes sense that they lost to the Utah Jazz. They simply overlooked them, and that is what led to the ugly loss. Anyway, the win was huge for the Nuggets and they are definitely one of the hottest teams in the league right now.

The man of the night for the Nuggets was Nate Robinson. Robinson came off the bench to score 24 points, which led the team. Robinson hit three 3′s, and was 9-12 from the field. The most impressive part was that he did this all in just 23 minutes of play. A great sign for the Nuggets last night was how Wilson Chandler play. It was only his second game back from his injury, and he showed no signs of it. Chandler went off for 22 points and 6 rebounds.

Another player that has been a huge difference maker has been Randy Foye. In last nights game, Foye scored 21 points and hit four 3 pointers. His hot shooting has only helped the Nuggs score more and more points each night. Ty Lawson once again had a big game as he posted 22 points to go along with 11 assists. It’s obvious Lawson is consistent, and it will really be a shame if he does not make the all-star game.

The Warriors got solid performances from the “splash brothers,” but it was not enough. The two sharp shooters combined for 45 points, but only 5 threes. Steph Curry shot 4-13 from deep, while Klay Thompson was just 1-5. Also not having the best game was former Nugget Andre Iguodala. Iggy only scored 3 points as he was 1-7 from the field. If it wasn’t for David Lee, the Warriors would have lost by much more. The big man was the games leading scorer with 28, and he also ripped down 11 boards.

The Nuggets made up for an ugly loss by beating a red-hot team. Not only did they beat a hot team, but they beat one of the best in teams in the West. The win certainly puts the Nuggets back on the track, and you can still be excited Nuggets fans. Up next for Denver will be the Cleveland Cavaliers tomorrow night at 7:00.
