Tonight, the Denver Nuggets will be taking on the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Nuggets are coming off of a huge momentum-building win against the Golden State Warriors, while the Cavs are coming off of a loss to the Portland Trail Blazers. I’m not sure many people saw the Nuggets beating the Warriors, but it is huge for the team. It helps solidify them as one of the hottest teams in the NBA right now, and they will go for their 6th win in their last 7.
The Nuggets starters have been crazy consistent. Randy Foye, Ty Lawson, and Wilson Chandler all had big games last time out, and I see them having similar results tonight. Wilson Chandler appears all systems go, and adding his scoring ability really helps out. A player I really want to see step up tonight is Kenneth Faried. Faried hasn’t been much of an impact player for the Nuggets and he needs to start scoring the ball. Hopefully, tonight is the night he breaks loose and he can be one of the teams leading scorers.
The Cavaliers have been led by Kyrie Irving all year long. It’s obvious now that Irving is a star in this league. He is averaging 21 points and 6 assists per game. The Cavs are similar to the Nuggets in the sense that they can score a ton of points. A player to watch out for is Luol Deng. Deng was acquired from the Chicago Bulls and has played in 5 games for Cleveland. The forward is averaging 18 points per game, and I am interested to see how he fairs with Wilson Chandler defending him.
Tonights game should be a good one. The Nuggets are hot and I don’t see them slowing down. The Cavs will put up a fight, but I see the Nuggets coming out with win. My final score prediction is 114-105 Nuggets. Be sure to check in for game updates, and follow along on twitter @Nugg_Love.
