Nuggets Vs. Bobcats Preview

The Denver Nuggets will take on the Charlotte Bobcats tonight at 7:00 at home. The Nuggets have won two games in a row, and recently beat the NBA’s best team, the Indiana Pacers. It’s safe to say that the Nuggets are playing with a ton of confidence right now, and they have a game tonight that should keep things rolling. The Bobcats have been struggling for most of the year and not been able to put together any consistent streaks. This should be an easy win for Denver, and they will look to go two games above .500.

Al Jefferson has been the Cats best player this season, and it is going to be up to Kenneth Faried, and J.J. Hickson to stop him. Jefferson is averaging 18 and 10, and he is very difficult to stop in the post. Faried has been playing much better so I expect him to limit Jefferson in both crashing the boards, and scoring. Kemba Walker has been a big part of the Bobcats offense this season, but he is out with an ankle injury. The guard is expected back soon, but he will be unable to go tonight in Denver.

A major reason the Nuggets have been playing so well lately is Wilson Chandler. Chandler has been scoring for the Nuggets and his terrific play has opened things up for Ty Lawson. His help has made Lawson even better, and also takes some weight off oh his shoulders. The Nuggets motto this entire season has been to score a lot of points and Chandler’s hot streak is only making them better.

Speaking of Chandler, the match-up I am most looking forward to is Gerald Henderson against Wilson Chandler. Both players are averaging similar numbers, and I think it will be fun to watch how they play against one another. Timofey Mozgov has seen his numbers increase as the season has gone on, and I expect him to play a major role again tonight. Mozgov has brought great defense and crucial scoring off the bench and fans can expect to see him contribute in tonights game.

This should be an easy win for the Nuggets. They have all the momentum right now and it seems impossible that the Bobcats will be the team to stop it. I’m predicting a big Nuggets win by a score of 112-98. The Bobcats are banged up, and the Nuggets starters are playing way too consistent right now for them to lose.
