Nuggets Vs. Raptors Preview

Tonight the Denver Nuggets will take on the Toronto Raptors at home at 7:00. The Nuggets are coming off of a terrible loss to the Charlotte Bobcats, while the Raptors have won 5 of their last 6 games. The Raptors clearly have the momentum, and Demar Derozen was just named to the all-star game. The Raptors are the better team here, but you really never know what your going to get with the Nuggets.

The Nuggets might be without their best player Ty Lawson again tonight. Lawson is struggling with a rotator cuff injury, and his availability for the game is currently unknown. The Nuggets player that I will be keeping an eye on is Randy Foye. He has played significantly better lately, and he is coming off of a 33 point night. Foye has been impressive for the Nuggs and it will be interesting to see if he can keep it going tonight.

Evan Fournier is going to need to step up with Nate Robinson out. Robinson has been the anchor to the Nuggets bench, and they are going to suffer without him on the court. Fournier has played well for the Nuggets and he will see his minutes increase. Another question going into this game is going into this game who is going to fill the void at point-guard. Hopefully, Brian Shaw can come up with a game plan so that the Nuggets can get the ball to their best scorers.

The Raptors are a very underrated team. They are 24-21 on the season, and they even have a player going to the all-star game. Demar Derozen is averaging 21 points per game and is enjoying a nice break-out season. Kyle Lowrie is also a player to look out for tonight. The point-guard is averaging 16 points per game and 7 assist. Both players are leading the Raptors to a great season, and the Raptors are 1st in the Atlantic Division.

Unfortunately I see the Raptors coming away with the win tonight. The Nuggets might be without Lawson again and that is a major issue for them. Also, the Raptors are just better, and they are hot. They have momentum and you better believe that Derozen is going to be hyped up. I’m predicting a Raptors win by a score of 107-101.
