Tonight, the Denver Nuggets will take on the Los Angles Clippers. The Nuggets come into the game following a loss to the Toronto Raptors. The Nuggets struggled to score against Toronto and could not reach 100 points. The Clippers on the other hand come into the game red hot. They have won 5 of their last 6 games and are 34-16 on the year. The Clipps are going to be a handful for the struggling Nuggets and tonight’s game is going to be extremely difficult to win.
Ty Lawson is still not guarantted to play, and that is bad news for Denver. They need him badly, and if he can’t go this will be an ugly game. Lawson is the leader of this team and the Nuggets need as many guards as possible. They will obviously be without Nate Robinson who tore is ACL, and Andre Miller is still not playing.
Players that will need to step up for Denver are Evan Fournier and Jordan Hamilton. Both will come off the bench, and they will need to make the most of their minutes. Also needing to have a big game for Denver is Wilson Chandler. Chandler has been very streaky for the Nuggets and his play usually dictates how the game ends.
The Clippers will be without Chris Paul, but he is close to a return. However, just because he is not playing does not mean that the Clippers should be taken lightly. They have been playing great without Paul, and they are still quite dangerous. Blake Griffen and DeAndre Jordan are going to have huge games. The Nuggets have let big men eat them alive down low all year long, and tonights game will most likely be the same.
The Nuggets are really frustrating right now. They are without their best player, and they also just lost Nate Robinson for the year. On top of all of that, the entire Andre Miller situation is just making the team look bad. I’m predicting a Nuggets loss by a score of 114-101. The Nuggets have struggled at home this season, and are playing too inconsistent to pick to win. Be sure to follow along for all of your Nuggets updates.
