The trade deadline nears and the Nuggets have pulled of another one that will address the teams backup Point Guard situation.  Yahoo Sports is reporting that the Nuggets have traded Shooting Guard Jordan Hamilton to the Houston Rockets in exchange for Point Guard Aaron Brooks.  Brooks is listed at 6’0″ and 170 lbs and has been in the league since 2007 when he was drafted in the 1st round (26th overall pick).  He has played most of his career in Houston with short stops in Sacramento and Phoenix.  He is currently averaging 7 points and 2 assists per game as Jeremy Lin’s backup.  Hamilton was drafted by the Mavericks in the 2011 draft but his draft rights were immediately traded to the Nuggets.  He has been a part time player for the Nuggets during his career and as averaged almost 5 points per game for Denver.  I like this trade as it does address the Point Guard need the Nuggets have with uncertainty about Ty Lawson’s return and the season ending injury to Nate Robinson.   Stay with Nugglove for more on the nuggets activity at the trade deadline and follow us @Nugg_Love
