The struggling Denver Nuggets will take on the Portland Trail Blazers tonight at 9:00. The Blazers, who have been one of the NBA’s best, come into the game on a convincing 2 game win streak. The Blazers have been unstoppable this season, and they are going to create many problems for the Nuggets. Luckily, the Nuggs will be at home, but they are going to need all the help that they can get.

The Nuggets are coming off of a bad loss to the Kings. I’m not going to talk about what went wrong, because a lot did. However, I’m going to talk about the things the Nuggets need to do if they want to beat the Blazers. The first thing the Nuggets need to do is play better defense. They need to stop allowing easy buckets inside, and lock it up. The next thing they need to do is contain Damien Lilard. The break-out star is one of the best guards in the NBA, and the Nuggets are going to need to do everything that they can to stop him.

Now for what the Nuggets need to do for themselves. I want to see Aaron Brooks have a really good game. He needs to step up and show the fans at home exactly why we went out and traded for him. Also, Kenneth Faried needs to play well. He will need to be his usually self on defense, but he needs to get himself going on the offensive side as well. Look for Randy Foye to continue to shine through the Nuggets injuries andy have another good game tonight.

I’m going to make a bold prediction for tonight. Sure the Nuggets have been playing bad lately, but I see them stealing one at home tonight. Look for the Nuggs to get things together on offense and also stop the Blazers starts. I’m predicting a 109-106 Nuggets win. Be sure to follow along on twitter @Nugg_Love.
