Why The Nuggets Can Beat The Nets: Game Preview

The Denver Nuggets will be taking on the Brooklyn Nets tonight at home. The Nuggs almost stole one the other night as they just fell short and lost to the Portland Trail Blazers. The Nets on the other hand, just got demolished by the Blazers, and have been a streaky team lately. The Nuggets have been incredibly disappointing to watch, but tonight could be the night they finally flick on the switch and start wining some games.

The Nuggets will beat the Nets tonight for a few reasons. The first is they are playing with momentum. Sure, they are coming into the game on a 3 game losing streak, but they almost beat one of the best teams in the NBA. Also, they scored a bunch of points which is something that have been struggling to do lately. If the Nuggets can carry over the intensity from their last game, I don’t see how they lose tonight.

The next reason the Nuggets will win tonight is because Aaron Brooks is now comfortable with his new team. The guard scored 14 points and had assists against the Blazers. It appears he is ready to take over the Nuggets back court for now and help lead this team to victory. Also, Randy Foye has stayed hot, and has been the Nuggets best player and I fully expect that to carry over into this game.

The Nuggets will win because the Nets are too caught up in the entire Jason Collins saga. It’s awesome that he is playing and on the Nets but who cares. The guy can play basketball, leave it at that. They are now talking about signing him for the rest of the year. That’s great for them, but the Nets are not a team that can afford distractions right now. Look for the Nets to be sluggish tonight, and for the Nuggets to take advantage of it.

I’m predicting a big Nuggets win. I think the team brings it all together and scores some big points. I see the Nuggets winning by a score of 114-102. The Nuggets starters will need to play well once again, and I don’t see that being a problem. Be sure to follow along on twitter @Nugg_Love.
