The Nuggets finally got a win last night as they beat the Dallas Mavericks. I predicted this win, but it was not hard to predict. The Nuggs now have Ty Lawson back. They won 115-110, and it is awesome to see them scoring points once again. Realistically, the Nuggets could begin to win some games in the near future, but it is a lost season.

The man of the night was the Nuggets leader, Ty Lawson. In just his second game back from his injury, he dropped in 20 points to along with 6 dimes. Lawson makes such a difference when he is on the court, and it shows why the Nuggs played so poorly when he was missing. Also playing great like I predicted was Kenneth Faried. Faried had 16 points and 8 rebounds. The big man has woken up since his name popped up in trade rumors and it appears that he back to playing his best basketball.

Wilson Chanlder led the Nuggets in scoring last night with 21. He has been struggling lately and it was nice to see him contribute. Chanlder also had 5 boards in the game and if he can begin to get his offense going, the Nuggets could once again be scary. As for the Nuggets bench, they got good games from J.J. Hickson, and Darrel Arthur. The forwards combined for 26 points and helped make a difference in the win.

Dirk led the way for Dallas by scoring 27 points. He only made one three, but he still was the man for the Mavs. As expected Monta Ellis also played well as he posted 16 points and 4 assists. The Mavericks didn’t have a problem with keeping up with Denver, but they simply could not close the game out.

The win is huge for the Nuggets. It shows us fans that this team can win, and that the future is bright. Ty Lawson is going to be a star one day and watching him night in and night out is going to keep this season fun. Up next for the Nuggets are the struggling Los Angles Lakers tomorrow night.
