The Nuggets will be looking to grab their 3rd in a row tonight as they take on the New Orleans Pelicans. A win is very much possible considering the Pelicans have lost 8 of their last 10 games. Although they have won 2 games in a row coming into tonights games, they have beat two bottom feeders in the NBA. It is highly likely the Nuggets come out with another win, and even more in the future.
The keys to the game tonight is the starters. They were so impressive in the win against the Lakers and everyone played well. Kenneth Faried has been outstanding and it is showing us sides of his offensive game that we have never seen before. Faried is constituently posting double-doubles and if he can continue this type of play, the Nuggets potential is sky high.
Ty Lawson has been great since returning, but how about his back up? Aaron Brooks has struggled since being traded to Denver, and I would love to see him step up in tonights game. His minutes have been a bit limited, but he can definitely shoot better. Look for Brooks to play better and help make a difference for the Nuggs coming off the bench.
The Pelicans are lead by big-man Anthony Davis. Davis is enjoying a break-out season where he is averaging 20 points and 10 rebounds per game. Faried and the other bigs will have a tough time defending him and it won’t be surprising if he has a good game. A player the Nuggets need to make sure they shut down is Ryan Anderson. Anderson is so dangerous behind the arc and also in the post. Anderson is very versatile and the Nuggets will need to limit him if they wish to extend their winning streak.
I believe the Nuggets will grab another win. It is hard to pick against them right now. Ty Lawson is just on another level and until he cools off I’m going to picking the Nuggets to win. I’m predicting a Nuggets win by a score of 119-110. Be sure to follow along, and check us out on twitter @Nugg_Love.
