The Nuggets were looking to make it 3 wins in a row yesterday, but the failed to do so by losing to the New Orleans Pelicans by 4. It was a close game, but unfortunately the Nuggets could not pull away and win the game. The good news is that the Nuggs didn’t get blown out. Things are still looking up for Denver and the loss is not a major issue.

Kenneth Faried is really impressing fans lately. He is putting up double-doubles like it is nothing and he has completely turned his down season around. Last night against the Pelicans Faried went off for 22 points and 14 rebounds. It’s crazy how easy he is making it look out there. Faried is carrying a ton of momentum into each game and it is interesting to think about how long his run will continue.

Wilson Chandler stepped up finally and scored 14 points. He also put up 7 boards and it was nice to see him contribute. He has been struggling for most of the season and if the Nuggets wish to keep turning around their season he needs to play better. Ty Lawson once again shined as he put up 15 points and 12 rebounds. Lawson has not slowed down since returning and he is fueling the Nuggets offense right now.

On the other end of things the Pelicans got a monster game from Anthony Davis. The big-man scored 32 points and also grabbed 17 boards. I predicted it would be hard to stop him, but he did more than that. Tyreke Evans was also hard to stop as he scored 20 points. The Pelicans stepped up in OT and were able to outscore the Nuggets.

The Nuggets might have had their little streak snapped, but things are really looking up. They are scoring more and more and they are also competing in every game they play. Up next for Denver is the Bobcats tonight at 7:00. Be sure to follow along for game updates!
