Nuggets Ground Pelicans 137-107

You’ve had one of those nights……It didn’t matter what you did, everything went your way.  You might be out with your friends and hanging at the club, and every good looking girl (or guy) seemed to be in to you.  You might be out on the dance floor, doing the “Sprinkler Head” or the “Can Opener” and it didn’t matter, you were on a roll and noone could argue with your Mojo.  Well….  That was the Denver Nuggets tonight.  In a game of little consequence in this NBA season, the Nuggets “Blitzkrieged” the Pelican’s 137-107 at Pepsi Center.  They came out of the box shooting an amazing percentage and every loose ball fell into their hands, every long rebound ended up in the hands of a Nuggets Guard and every bad looking 3 pointer went “Swish” though the net.  This was the game that this team has been trying to play for over 70 games this season and it was fun to watch.  Kenneth Faried is becoming more than just an “Energy guy”, he is becoming a bonafide NBA Star.  Timofey Mozgov, who missed a 3 at the end of the game against the Grizzlies a couple of nights ago, found his stroke and nailed that 3 tonight.  It was a blocked shot party as well as the Nuggs swatted away several of the Pelicans shots and started fast breaks.  Pelicans star Anthony Davis left the game late in the first half and this thing was no contest after that.  The Nuggets started the game on fire and torched the Pelicans throughout the contest leaving them wondering what the Lisence plate number was on that 18 wheeler that just trucked them into submission.  The game was 71-53 at the half and the Nuggs were on thier way to one of thier most convincing wins of this disjointed and difficult season.  “The Manimal” Kenneth Faried continued his stellar play with 34 points and 13 rebounds on the evening.  Aaron Brooks pulled up from distance on several occasions and knocked down 3’s resulting in 24 points and Timofey Mozgov got busy once again with 15 points and 2 momentum shifting blocked shots for the Powder Blue Crew.  All 10 Nuggets who are left on the gameday lineup played and scored in this one and it was a fun night at “The Can” for the fans and players alike.  With 82 games to be played each season, there is one that sticks out as the fun night of the season.  And in a  season of injuries and discontent, this was that game for the Denver Nuggets.  Follow your Denver Nuggets on Twitter @Nugg_Love.
