The Denver Nuggets return to action tonight at Pepsi Center with a Western Conference battle against the New Orleans Pelicans.  Both teams come into the game with 32-42 records and are tied for 11th place in the Western Conference Standings and both are eliminated from playoff contention.   The Pelicans are led by rising star, Anthony Davis, who is averaging a very All-Star like 21.3 points, 10.3 rebounds and 2.9 blocks per game on the season.  This will be the third straight year that the Pelicans (formerly the Hornets) will improve their record from the previous season.  They may be on the cusp of becoming a playoff team with the emergence of Davis and a roster that gets better each year.  The Nuggets are coming off of a tough loss at home to the Memphis Grizzlies and will still be without injured Forward Wilson Chandler who will miss his 6th consecutive game with a left groin injury.  Timofey Mozgov and Kenneth Faried were the two Nuggets who played very well in the loss to the Griz.  Mozgov tallied 23 points and 11 rebounds and Faried chipped in with 22 points and a team high 14 rebounds on the night.  Both teams are playing for pride and the “Spoiler” role coming down the stretch and this game will come down to the team that brings the most energy to the contest.  Make mine Nuggets 107, Pelicans 99 in a game that will be back and forth all night.  Follow along with your Nuggets on Twitter @Nugg_Love.
