Denver Nuggets Dancers Auditions Scheduled for July

Hey Nuggets fans, have you or a lady in your life ever dreamed of performing in front of nearly 20,000 screaming Denver Nuggets fans at the Pepsi Center? If so, get your dancing shoes (with non-marking soles) ready because the Denver Nuggets Dancers are gearing up for open auditions.

On Saturday, July 19, auditions will be open to dancers who are at least 18 years old (17 if you have a parent or guardian present to sign a waiver on your behalf) who possess a high school diploma or equivalent education.  All dancers must live in the Denver area and have reliable transportation to and from practices and at least 80% of home games in the Denver Nuggets 2014-15 season.

In addition to the chance to perform during Nuggets’ home games, Denver Nuggets Dancers also participate in community service activities and perform at other events throughout the year.

Side note: How awesome of a gig would this be? I mean, the press release says dancers receive “benefits” from sponsors that include “hair styling, tanning, waxing, gym and yoga memberships, and cosmetic dentistry.” If I wasn’t a schlubby dude in my 30s, I might try out myself. Do you have any idea how much gym memberships and cosmetic dentistry cost these days?!
