Former Denver Nugget head coach George Karl wants to coach again in the NBA. He has been out of the league for a year now, but he has seemed to have changed his mind. Karl was once the NBA coach of the year, and also coached 4 all-star games. He certainly has the resume to coach in the NBA, but he seems unsure if there is an opportunity for him. He had this to say.

"” I think the movement right now in the league, there’s a pendulum swing, it’s moved back to young, maybe the assistant coaches and inexpensive coaches. I think that pendulum will swing back, I think it will swing back to guys, I hope it does, I want one more shot.”"

Clearly Karl wants to be back in the NBA. Just a month ago he explained he was interested in the Cleveland Cavilers executive job. (See here.) Karl has the talent as a coach, but he is right. Teams want to get younger all around. They want younger players as well as coaches. The good news for George Karl is that his name is being linked to the Los Angles Lakers job. That could be a great landing spot for him and he could thrive with a star like Kobe Bryant. In all likely hood, Karl has seen his last day as NBA coach, but you really never know what could happen.
