NBA Finals Watch: Which players have a shot at ending up with the Nuggets next year?

The finals are upon us and yet again it is San Antonio vs Miami.  San Antonio is looking to avenge their Finals loss to Miami last year where they seemingly gift wrapped it for the Heat after game 6 was all but won.  There are a lot of players on both sides that are getting ready to become free agents soon, so which players have a chance to wind up in the Mile High City?  Let’s take a look at the odds.

Lebron James:  Well if you’re going to dream, dream big right?  Wouldn’t be the first time the best player in the league signed with a Denver team (Hint: His name rhymes with Smeyton Tanning)   CHANCES0%

Chris Bosh:   Now this is an interesting one, especially if Miami loses the series.  Bosh has always been third banana to James and Wade, and Denver would be a great place for Bosh to be the star, and play with players like Lawson, Faired, and Hickson.   CHANCES49%

Dwayne Wade:  Wade’s career is likely going to end in Miami and it really doesn’t make sense to move away from South Beach, to any sort of team.   CHANCES: 0%

Boris Diaw: Here’s another interesting player.  Diaw has always been a guy that can make solid contributions no matter where he goes, he now has Finals experience and can be a decent locker room vet for this young Nuggets team.  CHANCES: 50%

Patty Mills:  Mills is a spark plug, you put him in as Lawson/Nate’s backup, he can come in and make shots in a hurry, and is not afraid to be that guy to take a crucial shot late in game.  CHANCES: 51%

Mario Chalmers:  Mario has had the easiest job of any point guard in years, having Lebron James, Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh at your disposal would make any PG go nuts.  Mario may however be looking for a change of scenery this year should Miami not win it all, and Denver could be an ideal place for Chalmers if he doesn’t mind backing up Lawson. CHANCES: 35%

Chris “Birdman” Andersen:  Birdman already has his rings, has already played his best basketball, and it would be a great move for him and the Nuggets faithful for Bird to return to the team that made him famous.  CHANCES: 38%
