Denver Nuggets forward Kenneth Faired wants to be a super star. He wants to be a leader and superstar by the end of his career. Recently, he talked about how he is sick of being just an energy guy. There is no doubt in anyone’s mind that Kenneth Faried is an amazing energy guy, but maybe he is ready to take the next step in his career. He had this to say.

"“I respect it, but that’s not something I want – ‘Oh he’s the energy guy. That’s all he’s going to bring us. I want to be known as ‘He’s the All-Star, he’s the superstar.’ I want to be that superstar player. I know what it takes. I’ve seen what it takes. I’ve watched guys at my position make it to that level, and I’m trying to make it there, too.”"

Clearly he believes that he can take that next step. Faried averaged 13 points and 8 rebounds this season for the Nuggets. These numbers are not superstar numbers, but he still has room to grow. For Faried to truly become a superstar, he is going to need to become a better scorer. He needs to become a player the Nuggets can give the ball to in the post and get a bucket when they really need it. If anything, the recent comments from Faried are a sign that he is always looking to become a better player.
