I am not sure if Jerrelle Benimon comes over to Vegas from Orlando at the beginning of the Nuggets schedule or during the Nuggets summer league playoffs.  Either way, game two of the summer league for Jerrelle Benimon was very different than his debut.

Benimon did not see the floor in the Miami Heat/Brooklyn Nets game until there was 3:16 remaining in the 3rd quarter.  Benimon had started the first Miami Heat Summer League game.

On Benimon’s first trip down the floor he collected an easy offensive rebound but got stuffed on the put back.  On the way back down the floor, Benimon got caught on a pick and then overcompensated trying to get back to his man.

My favorite Jerrelle Benimon play of the night:

"With 2 seconds remaining in the 3rd quarter, the Miami Heat launch a touchdown pass down the court.  Benimon catches the ball short of the rim and has the presence of mind to quickly shuttle it over to his teammate for a buzzer beating basket."

My least favorite Jerrelle Benimon play of the night:

"Benimon gets the ball in the corner and jogs the baseline into the paint where he kicks the ball out for an open three.  The part I did not like about the play is that Benimon followed the pass out to the point instead of getting himself in position for a possible rebound."

Benimon has struggled mightily with his defensive rotations but the effort has been there.  Benimon has been good on the offensive glass collecting rebounds but has shown little finish with the ball when he gets it.  More than anything else, Benimon has been inconsistent during his brief two game “pro” career.
