Pacers forward Paul George suffered a horrible leg injury in a scrimmage last week. The forward is expected to miss a year, and he is going to be missed by the entire NBA. This injury has brought up a great debate, and people believe that players may not want to play after seeing how one play can impact your entire regular season.

This is what he told the Denver Post.

"“Prayers are with Paul. He’s a tough guy. He said himself [that] he’s going to be okay, and to go out there and try to win the gold. That’s all he wants. He wanted to participate. He was playing hard, and that’s what we all were trying to do, play hard, get after it and push each other.”"

Hopefully played do not respond negatively to this injury. It really is an honor to play for your country, and you can’t go off one freak accident. Kevin Durant, Kevin Love, and LeBron James are all not playing for Team USA this summer.
