Timofey Mozgov Absolutely Engulfed Kevin Durant

One of the highlights of last night’s game came early in the contest when Kevin Durant made the mistake of trying to come at Timofey Mozgov. Durant did not come correct.

As Durant attacked the hoop, Mozgov met him in the air and absolutely engulfed Durant’s shot attempt.

The play lit up social media and, although it’s only one play in a meaningless preseason game, it was nice to see Moz send an early message to a Western Conference opponent that scoring (and wins) aren’t going to come easy against this year’s Denver Nuggets.

I don’t know about you, Nuggets fans, but I’m looking forward to a lot more of this out of Moz this season. He has the potential to be a dominating presence on both ends of the court for the team, and hopefully this was a sneak peek at what he has in store for opposing players during the 2014-15 season.
