The time has finally come. The Denver Nuggets season starts tomorrow night at home against the Detroit Pistons. It has been a long off-season, but a fun one. The off-season was great for the Nuggets as they regained health, and acquire more talent. The key new guys will be rookies Gary Harris, and Jusuf Nurkic, and former Nuggets Arron Afflalo. Afflalo is perhaps the best pick up for the Nuggets as they now have a true shooting-guard.

The first game on tap for the Nuggets is for sure a winnable one. They will be taking on a young Detroit Pistons team that has some great talent. Star players for the Pistons include Andre Drummond, Greg Monroe, Josh Smith, and Brandon Jennings. All we be difficult to defend, but they are not expected to make the playoffs this upcoming season.

Tomorrow night will be the first game where the Nuggets have their new starting line-up together. Their line-up will likely be Ty Lawson, Arron Afflalo, Wilson Chandler, Kenneth Faried, and Timofey Mozgov. The Nuggets also have a stacked bench and will be even deeper than they were last season.

For the first preview of the season, I’m predicting a big Nuggets win. The Pistons are solid, but simply don’t have enough fire power to keep up with Denver. I’m predicting a Nuggets win by a score of 107-92. Look for Ty Lawson and Kenneth Faried to carry the team and lead the Nuggets to a 1-0 start.
